Huskvarna has been refered to as the city with beautiful gardens. It has a lot of old houses from the turn of the century, which has their gardens conserved. The Youth hostel is located in the centre, but in a quiet residential district with Rosendala country estate as the closest neighbour. Nearby is Vättern's bech where you can take a swim or have a barbecue.
There's also a really nice walk- and bicycle path alongside Vättern, passing through the marina. 2km to the west you'll find Jönköping with it's 2km long sand beach, cafés and restaurants by the harbour.
If you go up to the the top of Huskvarnaberget nearby, you'll find an amasing view over Vättern Huskvarna and Jönköping.. Another place worth seeing is the city of Gränna and the adjacent Röttle By. Old wooden houses, an old mill in genuine surrounding.
Take the ferry over to the unforgettable Visingsö. On the island you can travel with bicycle, car or a local form of horse and cart called "remmalag".
